Professional floral designer Jodie Zhao\, owner of PlantBox Flower Preservation Studio\, will teach you essential floral design techniques\, including balance\, rhythm\, space\, proportion\, and color harmony\, while working with pressed flowers. \nThe class begins with an introduction to pressed flower art\, followed by creative tips to inspire your own floral designs. Next\, you will learn how to handle and adhere pressed flowers to a paper surface and glass surface\, assemble your artwork\, and care for your finished pieces. By the end of the session\, you’ll walk away with one beautiful 6″ X 8″ floral design on paper\, along with a stunning 6″ X 8″ solid wood floating frame featuring your own pressed flower art. This class will also provide you with the foundational skills to create more pressed flower arrangements\, along with information on suppliers\, tools\, and materials to help you keep your floral design inspiration flowing! \nSupplies Needed: None. All frames\, cardstock\, and dried flora for your projects are included. \nInstructor Bio: Jodie Zhao has been creating pressed flower art for the past three years after discovering the significant waste in the floral industry. A graduate of the Canadian Institute of Floral Design\, she now focuses on working with clients to customize their wedding bouquet preservation.
