You will begin with a discussion of the best tools and materials for watercolor painting\, followed by a short intro to basic painting principles around color theory as well as how certain colors are used to evoke certain responses from the observer. Next\, you’ll dive in and start learning to use color blending\, gradients\, wet on wet washes\, and even pencil drawing techniques to render night skies\, nebulas\, and other celestial bodies. \n\n\n\nYou’ll have plenty of time to ask questions as you experiment with each of these galaxy painting techniques before applying them to your final watercolor project. This a great opportunity for total beginners and folks with some watercolor experience to space out\, get creative\, and learn new watercolor techniques to produce these beautiful images! \n\n\n\nSupplies Needed: None.  As part of this class\, you will receive one Royal & Langnickel Watercolor Paint + Brush Set and one cold press watercolor card set (15 cards). \n\nInstructor Bio: Becca Schillinger earned her BFA in drawing and painting from CCAC here in San Francisco\, and was trained by drag queens in NYC on how to paint a fashion-week worthy face.  She is a resident DIY rockstar\, offering her talents across a number of WorkshopSF classes. \n\nThe rules / important stuff: We have a NO EXCEPTIONS 72 HOUR CANCELLATION policy – this includes cancellation\, re-books\, gift certificates\, moving classes\, etc. For more information on canceling a class\, please read our cancellation policy.
