SUMMARY:Beginner’s Leatherwork: Craft A Custom Leather Belt

You’ll learn the basics of cutting and dyeing leather before you measure\, cut\, and dye your leather strap. You will stamp a simple design\, personalizing it with alphabet or image stamps. And finally\, you will add a leather finish and attach hardware to complete the belt project.  You will even be able to wear your crafted leather belt out of class! \n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: if your waist measures more than 50 inches\, PLEASE EMAIL US so that we can make sure to provide the correct sized hide for you. \n\n\n\nSupplies Needed: None\, but students are encouraged to wear clothes they can get grungy since we’ll be working with dyes. \n\nThe rules / important stuff: We have a NO EXCEPTIONS 72 HOUR CANCELLATION policy – this includes cancellation\, re-books\, gift certificates\, moving classes\, etc. For more information on canceling a class\, please read our cancellation policy. You will learn the basics of leather stamping\, how to hand stitch the leather pieces for assembly and apply hardware. We will also discuss the benefits of using vegetable tanned leather\, as well as how to take care of your new wallet!
